The surface to be lined should be thoroughly dry and clean. In case of tank lining vapor in the tank should be purged to reduce explosion inhalation hazards.
Concrete: Grind for making flat and smooth. Check the moisture with the moisture meter
Steel: The surface must be free of moisture and oil. Sand blast to near white spot and rust stains for clean surface and make sure that surface is no moisture and oil.
The concrete and steel surface are protected by rolling on resin and hardener to increase the bonding strength between FRP and the substrate
All to be lined with glass Mat and resin specified. The resin and glass are to be worked down with roller in order to add thickness
After adding the laminate as reinforcement layer, Surfacing veil as corrosion barrier should be applied with Glass mat and resin as specified
Resin finish coating would be rolled on the surface, mix the resin with wax additive and pigment color as specified
After applying the finish coating, all surfaces shall be inspected the thickness surface with the elcometer thickness gauge and test the surface hardness with Barcol hardness test machine.
To inspecting pinholes a spark test machine will be used. Any pinholes detected and found, would be repaired properly.
